The fever caused by our “888” reunion last year has never cooled down. Many are hoping and asking for a follow-up event. For this reason, we are pleased to inform you that the excitement will again spark on November 13, 2009 at the CAP A, Camp John Hay, Baguio City, “Laugh Till U Drop”,  just beside the PMSEA Symposium venue. Registration starts as early as 5pm.

We are looking forward to make this another unforgettable gathering of friends and colleagues as we rock the night with music, dance and the unsurpassed humor-filled celebrity hosting of Ariel and Maverick (talents of GMA-7).

Our Pasay City High School class of ‘63 have been trying to locate the whereabouts of our classmate Alfredo Leano. His name is listed in 1975 Alumni (GEO 75). The talent and magic did not make that much needed spark just when we were points away close to making it to the semifinals.

The brighter side is the birth of a new and better team composed of alumni  from MGB, PHIVOLCS, RUSINA, PHINMA and TOSHIBA. Notice the sign they were flashing? that is their battlecry – ONE MORE CHANCE!  (thanks to MGM Alumni Association and MITMGM888 for the financial support)

It was indeed a great day for Mapua Alumni Par-Busters, especially for the MGM Golf Team who won the Team Championships.

Rommel Dimabuyu, EM-79, capped the “Longest Drive” trophy. Jojo Simon, EM 79, won the “Nearest To the Pin” trophy and obviously, “Best Team Uniform”. It was indeed a total domination by the MGM Golfers save for a few minor awards.

During the awarding ceremonies, the MGM golfers chose Louie Sarmiento, EM 79, as the perennial MGM Golf  Team Captain (dinaan sa laki).

The first three Mapua Inter-affiliate Golf events, previously called Yuchengco Cup, were won by ME, EE, & CE. This year, it’s MGM and hopefully a repeat in 2010. It was indeed a victorious event for the MGM Golf Team proving once again that In Unity, there’s Strength!

Great 10 days in Manila. MGM888 was absolutely fabulous!
